Installation Instructions and Maintenance Recommendations

It is the tank owner's responsibility to ensure the integrity of their tank and installation.

Be sure to have the tank(s) installed by a licensed installer.  Domestic heating oil tanks are to be installed in accordance with CSA B-139, Installation code for oil burning equipment.

Never tranfer oil from an tank to a new without a proper filtering system as the new tank could become contaiminated with water and sludge and promote internal corrosion.

Protect the tank from falling objects (snow, ice or tree branches) and keep away from vehicle traffic.

The tank should not be in contact with a wall or barrier as this may contribute to premature deterioration due to debris and/or moisture.

as plastic, do not conform to National Fire Codes.

Install your tank a minimum 15 meters away from any well or watersource.

A tank intended for outdoor installation must be anchored to a solid, level, non-combustible 4-inch concrete pqad to prevent tip over.  A tank intended for indoor installation must also be anchored to the floor using concrete tapcon screws, floor flanges and schedule 40 pipe legs as indicated.
